Also there were stray dogs and cats everywhere. They aren't aggressive to people in fact when we went on a walk we eventually gathered an entourage of 3 dogs. All cute and just up for a walk with us.
I was so happy to get out of the Kamala area since it was so dead and we were so excited for the Half Moon Party. We had just missed the Full Moon Party but figured it would be just as good. We had even read that it was more organised. This part was probably my favourite in terms of relaxation. The weather was good and I really liked both of the hotels we stayed at.

Incheon to KamalaAfter a layover in Kuala Lumpur, we were exhausted since we had been up at 7. We went to the closest taxi stand outside customs and paid about 800 baht for the ride. More than the amount on the internet but we weren't going to the city centre.
We get in the taxi and the driver says he doesn't know where the hotel is even after we show him the address so he stops off at a tour office to ask for directions. The lady comes to the car asking for us to come in and make sure she has the right place. I go in and she sits me down making small talk about how long we would be staying etc. She explains some places we could see and asked if we wanted to book a flight out or a train or a bus. Took me a couple minutes but I realised, She was not there to help us get to our hotel. Kinda pissed (we had paid to go to the hotel), I bluntly ask her if she know where our hotel is. She says yes and I leave to go back in the cab. Some how in a company where people don't take vacations for 2 years straight, I have managed to get myself 3 vacations in the year! It was the first time I traveled by myself and honestly, loved it. Quicky Review
Mostly, Japan was just more expensive Korea with better food and drivers. I really liked that
So clearly I have been doing some travelling but I haven't updated at all. Oops. Instead of doing an in depth adventure review, I have decided to do something that requires less work. Also I wouldn't be able to remember all the details anymore. So here they are in chronological order: KL, Malaysia; Seoraksan [SS], South Korea and Boracay[BC] /Manila, Philippines. Quicky Review
I was pretty excited about it being the first of February. The sun is out and it is slowly getting warmer. I get paid in 9 days and have an upcoming vacation to Malaysia in 17 days not to mention the Game of Thrones trailer that was recently released and the House of Cards season release date drawing closer (ready to binge watch through that).
I was going through some papers looking at the finances of this past year when I realised that today marks the day I left home and boarded a plane to move to a land where I didn't speak the language and started a job I have absolutely no experience (Sorry, I made it look like I did). |
